BTF 019: One Sock
BTF 019: One Sock

In which I figure out exactly how long it takes me to knit a sock, get my Level 2 homework back, make and spin some silk mawata, drop Knitmonton’s veil of anonymity briefly, start and restart a scarf, design a mini-sock, spend WWSIP Day with the Edmonton Weavers’ Guild, and write a brief letter to my brother-in-law. Thanks for listening!

Hint: socks made with sock yarn held double knit up faster. And are warmer! Though bulkier. Mind you, I consider that a feature. 😉

And self striping or variegated yarn held double does really neat impressionistic things when knit. 🙂

For your squashing of cocoons: the plastic stuff for needlepoint could be cut into a circle to fit the crock pot, then held down with a jar of water.

Would be useful for dyeing as well as cocoons, since it’s (sometimes) good to keep the yarn submerged too. 🙂
